Six Blades Yorba Linda is incredibly proud to announce that our very own Professor Andre Pontes has reached the podium at the 2025 IBJJF World No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu Championships in Las Vegas!

Competing against the best in the world this past weekend, Professor Andre showcased the precision, discipline, and "Six Blades" spirit that he instills in his students every day. After a series of challenging matches, Andre secured a Medal, further cementing his legacy as one of the elite competitors in the sport.

Leading by Example
At Six Blades Yorba Linda, we often talk about the importance of "leading by example." There is no better example of dedication than watching your head instructor test his skills on the world’s biggest stage and come home with a medal.

Professor Andre’s victory in Las Vegas is a testament to the technical excellence and rigorous training environment we foster at our academy. Whether he is teaching our "Tiny Ninjas," "Future Champs," or our advanced adult classes, the same championship-level details he used this weekend are passed down to every student on our mats.

A Message to the Community
We want to thank all of our students, family, and friends who cheered Andre on from Yorba Linda and a special thanks to Guillobel Academy in San Clemente for helping Andre Prepare. Sensei Paulo has always been a great support for our academy and we appreciate him very much. Your support is what makes our community so special.
